Catalog # 250050 – 50 tests
Description Direct immunofluorescence assay for the detection of Cryptosporidium oocysts and Giardia cysts from stool specimens, based on monoclonal antibodies.
Features - Monoclonal Antibody based: increased specificity, eliminates false positives - Direct fluorescence assay: increased sensitivity, eliminates false negative - Positive Control included - Detects low numbers of cysts: earlier detection of infection allows for immediate therapy
SpecimensPreserved stool: 10% formalin or SAF fixative may be used Concentrated stool: increased sensitivity
