Description

Microplate Enzyme-Immunoassay for the semi-quantitative detection of IgG and IgM antibodies directed against Borrelia burgdorferi in human serum.

Specimens

Fresh, refrigerated or frozen human serum.

Kit Components

Antigen coated microwells, Sample diluent, Positive and Negative controls, Phosphate-buffered Wash Concentrate, Goat anti-human IgG and IgM conjugate, buffered Urea Peroxide solution, Chromogen solution (TMB), Acidic Stop solution, Microwell holder.

Assay Protocol

1.       Add 100µL of 1:100 diluted sample or controls to separate microwells.

2.       Incubate at room temperature for 60min.

3.       Wash 5 times with wash buffer.

4.       Add 2 drops (100 µL) of conjugate to each well.

5.       Incubate at room temperature for 30min.

6.       Wash 5 times with wash buffer.

7.       Add 1 drop (50µL) of urea peroxide and 1 drop (50µL) of chromogen to each well.

8.       Incubate at room temperature for 10min.

9.       Add 1 drop (50µL) of stop solution to each well. Mix.

10.   Read at 450 nm.

Storage

The kit must be stored at 2-8°C.
