Catalog # 706050 – 50 tests
Description Membrane EIA single test for the qualitative detection of Clostridium difficile common antigens in human stools.
Features - Rapid detection : results within 15 minutes - Easy and unitary procedure - Internal control of the procedure on each card
Specimen handlingThe stool specimen, collected in an empty container, can be stored up to 3 days at 2-8°C before testing. If testing is not performed within this time frame, specimens should be frozen upon receipt (-20°C to -80°C).
Kit Components Test cards, Positive control, Negative control, Enzyme conjugate, Wash buffer, Substrate, Transfer pipets.
Assay Protocol: 1. Transfer 350 µl of enzyme conjugate to the appropriate number of test tubes. 2. Add 25 µl of stool sample and controls to the appropriate test tube, and incubate at room temperature for 3-5 minutes. 3. Vortex each sample 10 seconds, and add 150 µl of sample to the 2 sample wells (lower wells). 4. Incubate at room temperature for 3-5 minutes. 5. Add 3 drops of wash buffer in the 2 reaction wells (upper wells) on each card. 6. Wait for the complete absortion, and add 2 drops of substrate in the 2 reaction wells (upper wells) on each card. 7. Wait 5 minutes, and read the result in the reaction wells (upper wells).
Interpretation of results Positive result : blue color in the 2 reaction wells (Control + Test). Negative results : blue color in the Control reaction well only.
