Description
Membrane EIA single test for the qualitative detection of
Clostridium difficile Toxins A and B in Stool Specimens.

Specimen handling
The stool specimen, collected in an empty container, can be stored up
to 3 days at 2-8°C before testing.
If testing is not performed within this time frame, specimens should be
frozen upon receipt (-20°C to -80°C).
Kit Components
Test cards, Specimen Diluent, Enzyme Conjugate, Positive control, Wash
Reagent, Substrate Reagent, Transfer pipettes.
Assay Protocol:
Add 200 µl of Specimen Diluent to a test tube using the dropper in
the bottle.
Add 3 drops of Enzyme Conjugate to the test tube.
Dispense 25 µl of stool (mixed thoroughly) or control into
the Diluent/Conjugate mixture.
Vortex the final mixture for 10 seconds.
Incubate at room temperature for 5 minutes.
Add 150 µl of specimen to the 2 sample (lower) ports on one test
card.
Incubate at room temperature for 5 minutes.
Add 3 drops of Wash Reagent in the 2 reaction (upper) ports.
When the Wash Reagent has been completely absorbed, add 3 drops of
Substrate in the 2 reaction (upper) ports.
Incubate at room temperature for 5 minutes.
Read the results in the reaction (upper) ports within 30 seconds of
the end of incubation.
Interpretation of results
Positive result : blue color in the 2 reaction ports (Control + Test).
Negative results : blue color in the Control reaction port only.
Storage
The kit must be stored at 2-8°C.
