Description Unitary one step immuno-chromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of rotavirus Antigen in human stool.

Specimen handlingThe stool specimen, collected in an empty container, can be stored up to 3 days at 2-8°C before testing. If testing is not performed within this time frame, specimens should be frozen upon receipt (-20°C to -80°C).
Kit Components Test cards, Positive control, Sample diluent, Transfer pipets.
Assay Protocol 1. Emulsify 2mm diameter portion of stool or add 25 µL of liquid stool into 350 µL of sample diluent in a test tube. 2. Transfer 150 µL of diluted stools, positive control and negative control (sample diluent) to sample port. 3. Incubate 10min at room temperature. 4. Read the result in the test and control zones.
Interpretation of results Positive result : one red/purple colored band in the test and control zones. Negative result : one red/purple colored band in control zone only.
Storage The kit must be stored at 2-8°C.
