Description

Rapid immuno-chromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of Cryptosporidium parvum and Giardia lamblia specific antigens in stool specimens.

Specimen handling

Fresh, frozen or fixed stool specimens (10% formalin, SAF, MIF, Cary-Blair and Stuart’s Media)

Kit Components

Test cards , Sample treatment Buffer, Conjugate A and B, Plastic droppers, Tubes for specimens dilution.

Assay Protocol:

1.         Add 2 drops of sample Treatment Buffer to a tube with 60μL of specimen

2.         Add 2 drops of Conjugate Reagent A to the tube

3.         Add 2 drops of Conjugate Reagent B to the tube

4.         Pour the tube content into the sample port of the device

5.         Read the results after 10 minutes

Interpretation of results

Positive result : 1 band in the Control zone + 1 band in the Crypto or Giardia zone or both.

Negative results : 1 band in the Control zone only.

Storage

The kit must be stored at 2-8°C.
