Specimen handlingThe stool specimen, collected in an empty container, can be stored up to 3 days at 2-8°C before testing. If testing is not performed within this time frame, specimens should be frozen upon receipt (-20°C to -80°C).
Kit Components Test cards, Tubes filled with extraction solution, Plastic droppers, Sample applicators.
Assay Protocol: 1. Transfer a stool sample (volume of a pea) into the tube containing the extraction solution, or transfer 200 µl of stool if the sample is liquid. 2. Tighten the cap and mix the stool sample by shaking until it is dissolved, and let the tube stand long enough for the large particles to settle the bottom of the tube. 3. Add 6 drops (200 µl) of the supernatant into the sample well of the test device. 4. Read the result of the test 15 minutes after addition of the sample to the device.
Interpretation of results Positive result : 1 band in the Control zone + 1 band in the Test zone. Negative results : 1 band in the Control zone only.
Storage The kit must be stored at 4-30°C.
