Description
One-step
immunochromatographic rapid test for the qualitative detection of
specific Campylobacter antigens in unpreserved human stool or preserved
in Cary-Blair-based transport medium (ParaPak C&S, Catalog
number 900612).

Specimen
storage
Stools collected in an empty container or in Modified Cary-Blair
transport media (ParaPak C&S) can be stored up to 3 days at
2-8°C before testing.
If testing is not performed within this time frame, specimens should be
frozen at -20°C immediately upon receipt.
Kit
Components
Test cards, Sample Diluent (Negative Control), Positive Control,
Transfer pipettes.

STAT! Campy Protocol
1. Add 1400 µl of Sample Diluent to a test tube.
2. Add a small portion of stool (3-4 mm).
3. Vortex diluted specimen for 15 seconds, then add 175 µl of diluted
specimen to sample port of device.
4. Incubate for 20 minutes at room temperature, and read the result of
the test.
Interpretation
of results
Positive result: 1 band at the Control Line + 1 band at the Test Line.
Negative
results : 1 band in the Control zone only.
Storage
The
kit must be stored at 2-8°C.
